I am an associate professor at the INSERM U936 in Rennes 1 University. The team focuses on conceptual modeling of biomedical knowledge. The U936 is the research team of the Medical Informatics Laboratory.

• I will talk about the Semantic Web, Protégé and OWL at the next Protégé-OWL Short Course (March 23-25 2011). Yay!
• Julie Chabalier from Natural solutions invited me to the scientific committe of the ecoOnto project, which uses ontologies to enhance sharing resources about biodiversity.
• Andrea Splendiani kindly proposed that I serve in the scientific committee of the next Semantic Web Applications and Tools for Life Sciences (SWAT4LS) workshop, December 10th, Berlin Germany.
• I presented an introduction to the Semantic Web (in French) at the BreizhJUG Java user group.
• Protégé script tab: a new build of the Protégé script tab (0.32) is in preparation (featuring jython 2.2.1, groovy 1.5.6 and jruby 1.1.3). See the webpage for details and download.

I made my PhD in the IDM lab. (Now Visages) in Rennes, France. The title was "Modeling, representing and sharing anatomical knowledge on brain cortex". The abstract is available in English. The full dissertation in French is available as postscript (9.7Mb) and as pdf (6.5Mb).

Teaching

  I supervise the teachings of the first year of the master program. Moreover, I am responsible for the following classes:
